Leafs Prospect Update: Brad Ross

Brad Ross joins the Toronto Maple Leafs organization at the 2010 entry draft

Could Brad Ross become the next Darcy Tucker for the Toronto Maple Leafs?

That was the plan when Brian Burke drafted him 43 overall in the 2010 draft. Ross is a top prospect for the Leafs who is forecast to become a third line shift-disturbing winger.

15 thoughts on the Ottawa Senators

1. This years NHL All-Star game will be held in the nations capital. There is a campaign in Ottawa to have its home town captain Daniel Alfredsson in the game. You can vote for Alfie at votenhl.com

2. Milan Michalek scored his league leading 19th goal before colliding with teammate Erik Karlsson and leaving the game. Michalek has been diagnosed with a concussion and is listed as day-today.

3. The Sens are the most penalized team in the NHL with 466 PIM’s, lead by Zenon Konopka with 104 PIM’s. With Chris Neil, and Matt Carkner on the roster as well, they should maintain that claim.

Fantasy Hockey Under the Radar Players with Low Cap Hit

Every year coming out of my fantasy hockey draft, I am always brimming with confidence about the team I put together. Each year in the early going, I am let down by a few players. Perhaps it is because they are injured  (Jacob Josefson), or perhaps I simply over estimated their role (Bobby Butler).

Either way I am always searching for good, cheap free agents to fill the holes on my roster. Here are some players who are off to great starts who have relatively low cap hits and may be available in your league.
